The high population growth in the Nile Basin Countries is one of the great challenges facing development in these countries, and the importance of the study is that it helps in knowing the impact of population growth on savings in the Nile Basin Countries.

the study aims to analyze population growth in the Nile Basin Countries, determine the levels of savings, and study the impact of the variation in population growth rate on savings in the Nile Basin countries.

the study followed the descriptive method, the topical approach, the historical approach, and regional approach, the statistical method, and cartography method, in addition to the use of many statistical sources for the study.

the study found a strong inverse correlation between the population growth rate and the savings rate in the Nile Basin countries.

the most important recommendations of the study is the need to reduce the annual growth rate of the population in most of the basin countries, and to spread the culture of savings especially in Egypt, and supporting the private sector especially in Sudan, and the necessity of confronting the factors that directly affect savings in the Nile Basin countries, especially in Burundi, South Sudan and Egypt.
