Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of knowledge of pre-school teachers about the characteristics of students with autism spectrum disorder, it also aimed to identify the level of their knowledge of the educational and behavioral strategies that used with these students in this stage.

this study also helped to discover the obstacles that pre-school teachers face when applying the interventions with their students who have ASD, it also aimed to identify the differences between the teachers’ responses according to a set of variables.

the study sample consisted of (87) teachers of students with ASD in the pre-school stage in the Qassim region.

researcher used a survey to collect data.

the results of the study showed that teachers of students with ASD in the pre-school stage have an average level of knowledge about the characteristics of students with ASD.

the results of the study also showed that teachers have an average level of knowledge about the interventions that used with students with ASD.

the findings of this study showed that there are high levels of obstacles that teachers face while using the educational and behavioral strategies in teaching students with ASD.

the results of this study concluded that there were differences between the teachers’ responses about the level of knowledge of the characteristics of students with ASD, as well as the level of knowledge of the educational and behavioral strategies that used with these students according to the major of the sample members
