The objective of the current research is to identify the reality of the competencies of principals of general secondary education schools in Dakahlia Governorate and the requirements for their development.

Many results, including: poor ability of the school administration to achieve the goals of the school, poor understanding of some school leaders of the requirements of change, weak orption of modern technologies to follow up on scientific and educational developments and changes, lack of a comprehensive plan for crisis management, weak community partnership and contribution to solving school problems, lack of participation Students and teachers in the activities and employ them to serve the subjects.
