Abstract EN

This study attempted to identify the interpretation of social theories (critical social theory, pluralist theory, stakeholder theory, rational choice theory, routine activities theory, modernization theory, and global system theory) for the democratic dimensions of e-government, and to identify the theory that serves as a theoretical orientation for researchers, from By relying on the critical analytical method.

The study concluded that the theory of stakeholders is the most appropriate theory as a theoretical direction for studying the subject of the democratic dimensions of e-government, since this theory did not focus on a specific dimension, and it included all demo-cratic dimensions.
