Pre-Islamic Arabian thought is rarely discussed as a topic on its own right.

Usually, it is dealt with as part of larger topics which are either theological in nature or aas part of a contrastive study in relation to Islam.

This book chapter addresses Arabian thought during the Jahiliyyah period.

It tackles the common beliefs in Arabia especially those relating to idol worshipping and related practices, polytheism, the soul, death, etc.

It also addresses the influence of Christianity and Judiaism on Arabian thought prior to the mission of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
