Abstract EN

The study aims at clarifying the importance and role of scientific philosophy of Gaston Bachelard.

it is also to emphasize that his philosophy should be taken in itself and that we pass judgment on it without a preconceived idea and outside the narrow obligations of the philosophical language.

that is because there is a conflict and difference between the philosophical order and the nature of scientific thinking according to Bachelard.

so, in this study, we will try with Bachelard to discover how he managed to overcome the methodological position prevailing in ancient philosophies through the following inquiries: 1.

what is new on which Gaston Bachelard has taken as a basis for his project? 2.

did Bachelard add a new addition to the history of philosophy as a starting point? 3.

what are the foundations on which he set out so that his project was characterized with innovation in the history of philosophy? to verify the objectives desired in this study, the researcher used the introductory and analytical method, and the critical approach.

the study is divided into: an introduction and three sections.

the first discusses the epistemology of Gaston Bachelard.

the second topic discusses the epistemological obstacle, and the third discusses the cognitive break of Bachelard.

finally, a conclusion containing some results and recommendations is contained.
