Praise be to Allah, prayers and peace be upon the messenger of Allah and his family and those who followed him until the day of judgment, and then: this research deals with an important issue of contemporary issues, which is the issue of ethics; because morals are the root of everything, so, if morals and values become corrupted, man collapses and he becomes a predatory animal, and the importance of addressing and discussing this topic increases, in light of the crises, wars, hunger and conflicts that the world is witnessing, which are one of the causes of distress in people’s lives and a factor in the loss of confidence and lack of mercy.

the disconnection of the network of human relations within society, and it is also one of the main reasons in business organizations, the loss of which leads to the emergence of administrative corruption, which increases the general cost, and leads to injustice and injustice among members of society in general; therefore, the issue of adherence to professional ethics has become one of the important topics that have received increasing attention in recent years, due to several reasons, foremost of which is the increase in illiteracy, ignorance and the low level of schooling, which calls for intensifying efforts and uniting sane wills and sincere consciences to carry out collective action, aimed at changing this bad situation.

hence, we asked a question: what is the importance of the ethics of a university professor’s profession and what is its impact on shaping students’ personality and raising their academic achievement rate? the following questions arise from it: what is the meaning of ethics? what are the morals of the philosophers? is morality innate or learned? what is the concept of the profession and what are the ethics of the profession? What are the criteria for a successful professor or teacher? And what are his duties? what are the reasons for the low level of morals in our current era? how do we develop these Islamic ethics? these questions we will try to answer, and this is what we will show in the research that we made in four sections: in the first section, we dealt with the meaning of ethics and the difference between creation and morality, and in the second section: we explained the evidence and indicators of ethics and its divisions, and in the third section: we talked about ethics and its relationship to practical life, and the importance of ethics in the teaching profession.

for the fourth section, titled: commitment to ethics and its impact on the welfare of society, we took the university teaching profession as a “model”, and we reached multiple results that we mentioned at the end of the research, the most important of which are: that the issue of ethics is one of the topics that have increased in need with increasing openness to other cultures, the entry of strange ideas, and the decline of value systems, and the research also included several recommendations We mentioned it at the end of the research.
