This research aims to identify the current state of the area, production and productivity of pomegranate crop at the level of the Republic and Assiut Governorate, in addition to a study of the most important productive and economic factors affecting pomegranate production in Assiut Governorate, in addition to a study of the most important indicators of productive and economic efficiency, and it has been shown from the results of Research: There is a statistically significant increase in both the total area and the fruitful area of the pomegranate crop is estimated at 4,2 and 1,8 thousand Faddon, respectively at the level of the Republic.

Pomegranate is estimated at 0.54 and 0.48 thousand Faddon, respectively.

A study of the productive and economic indicators shows that the production of an acre of pomegranate crop amounted to about 17,5 tons, while the total revenue amounted to about 53100 pounds, while it was found that the total costs were estimated at about 38,419 pounds, while the net acre yield was about 14,681 pounds, while the total estimated The return to costs is 1.38, while the profitability of the spent pound is estimated to be 0.38.

And by studying the factors affecting the pomegranate productivity with the sample of the study, it was found that the linear model is the best from the statistical point of view, and that the factors affecting the Faddon productivity are the cultivated area "x1" and human work "x3" and the amount of municipal fertilizer "x4", The study also revealed that the most important production problems facing farmers in the study sample are the high cost of plowing the land around the trees in order to eliminate pests and diseases that affect trees by 91.6% of the total sample, in addition to the lack of fertilizers and pesticides, the problem of cracking the pomegranate fruits and the large spread of diseases.

And scourges and thus lower productivity.

The study also revealed that the most important solutions proposed from the producers' point of view is that bagging the fruits after the contract stage to prevent sun blight and not carrying out any pruning process for trees from August until the beginning of December to prevent pomegranate peel worm infection ranked first with 86.67% of the total sa In light of the above results, the study recommends.

1- Working by all means and means to stabilize or increase the production of the pomegranate crop, with the horizontal expansion of the area or the vertical expansion of productivity.

2- Working to confront the problems of the pomegranate crop producers by providing production requirements on the one hand, and activating the role of extension to educate producers about agricultural practices on the other hand.

3- Working to raise the efficiency of using production requirement.
