The current research aims to investigate the opinions of a group of experts in the methods of teaching mathematics according to the Delphi method to develop a proposed scenario based on contemporary trends in teaching and learning mathematics and reforming its teaching.

The research achieves by setting professional standards for mathematics teachers to be adopted as a basis for evaluating their teaching performance.

Where he relied on the mixed method (quantitative and qualitative) and Delphi technology to obtain the opinions of the experts, who number (9) experts in the field of mathematics teaching methods, and after two rounds, an agreement and consensus was reached on the set of standards proposed by the researcher and formulated in a final way that corresponds to the observations and opinions of experts to be ready for They become approved indicators in evaluating the performance of mathematics teachers in the education of Maysan Governorate Education Directorate.

The results of the research also resulted in a set of conclusions that led to a number of recommendations, and in conclusion, the researcher put some research proposals.
