Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the preparation of educational leaders in the basic education stage in the light of the strategic management approach, by identifying the reality of their preparation as indicated by educational legislation, and revealing their problems from their point of view.

it consists of 320 female leaders, representing 19% of the original community, which amounted to (1674) female leaders (educational leadership), as their total number at the level of educational administrations in Menoufia governorate.

the study reached a set of results, including: the educational leaders’ lack of knowledge of everything new and their lack of innovation in interactive educational practices, the use of traditional methods of transfer and circulation of information, the typicality of modern learning systems and training programs and their linking to traditional promotion systems, poor transparency and the interference of personal considerations in the process choice.

the lack of leaders capable of change and the use of the strategic management approach, the compatibility between strategy and the organizational structure, the lack of preparation of a training course on the strategic management approach, and the inability of the traditional educational system to respond to the challenges of the current stage.

the study recommended a set of recommendations, including: training educational leaders on how to help them develop their job duties, and to overcome the difficulties in front of them to adapt to the work pressures that they may face, and to identify the training needs in a realistic and accurate manner.
