The research aimed to verify the psychometric properties for the altruism scale among university students.

must be able to achieve the aim of the research, the researcher prepared a scale of altruism and applied it to the study sample, which consisted of 200 students in fourth level at faculty of education at university of Sadat city, and their ages ranged between (22-24) years, with an average age of 22.28 years, and standard deviation of 0.501, at 44 males, and 156 females, with 124 literary specialization and 76 scientific specialization, and the number of items on the scale was 22 items according to the five-scale Likert scale.

the results revealed that the scale had the psychometric properties of internal consistency with the correlation coefficients between the total degree of the scale and the scale expressions ranged (0.694-0.924), with an average correlation coefficient of 0.819, standard deviation 0.065, all of which are statistical significance at the level of 0.01, and the reliability coefficients of alpha and omega Mcdonald’s reached 0.976, and the validity of the factorial structure with good model indicators the factor analysis resulted in the loading of the expressions on one factor a variance of 67.555% of the total variance of the matrix variables was absorbed, where the value of chi-square for the model is 563.301 with degrees of freedom 209, which is not statistical significance, and the ratio between chi-square to the degree of freedom is 2.659 and quality-matching indicators GFI= 0.800, NFI= 0.884, IFI= 0.924, CFI= 0.923, RMSEA= 0.092, ECVI= 3.273; this indicates a good fit with the confirmatory factor analysis model for the altruism scale.
