Abstract EN

The study aimed to know the general feature of achievement motivation with its three axes (the motivation to achieve academic excellence, the motivation to satisfy mental cognitive needs, the direction of internal control) and the relationship between it and some demographic variables.

This type of educational studies, and one of the tools that was used is the questionnaire and observation (a questionnaire was designed adapted from the achievement motivation scale prepared by Muhid Muhammad Al-Mutawakil Mustafa (2006), the data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social and Educational Sciences (SPSS), represented by (the one-group test) T-test), Pearson correlation coefficient, Alpha-Crow-Bach coefficient, and ANOVA test to determine differences) where the study showed the following results: The general characteristic of achievement motivation among students of the International University of Africa, and the presence of statistically significant differences in achievement motivation for the gender variable (male / female) in favor of Males and the presence of statistically significant differences in the academic specialization (literary/scientific) in favor of the academic specialization (scientific).

There are no statistically significant differences in the Achievement motives are attributed to the continent variable (Africa/Asia).

& based on these results, the study presented the most important recommendations, including the need to provide training programs aimed at raising the level of achievement motivation among students of the International University of Africa and students with low academic achievement, educating teachers about the role of motivation in the achievement process and holding courses to introduce them by stimulating methods
