Abstract EN

This paper aimed to know the effect of using the reciprocal teaching strategy on developing reading skills among eighth grade pupils from the basic education stage in Karary locality.

The paper relied on the experimental method, in order to reveal the effect of reciprocal teaching on the academic achievement of the eighth grade pupils in developing reading skills, and the study population consisted of all students of the eighth grade, the basic phase of the school of (Ibn Ubadah Boys) with the bulldozer, which numbered (35) students as a control and experimental sample.

The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the post test and the average scores of the control group students in favor of the experimental group.

In light of the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of employing the interactive teaching strategy in learning the reading skills of primary school students.
