Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to identify the general feature of psychological depression among patients with renal failure at Al-Amal Hospital and Qatar Charity Center in Bahri locality and to know the differences in the level of psychological depression among patients with renal failure according to the variable (gender, age, marital status) and the researchers followed the descriptive approach and represented the research community in Patients with renal failure in Al-Amal Hospital and Qatar Dialysis Center, the size of the research community was (187) patients and the sample size was (40) patients who were selected as an intentional sample, and they were applied to the Beck Brief Depression Scale, data were processed statistically through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS-Statistical Package for Social Sciences) and the research reached the following results: Psychological depression among patients with renal failure at Al-Amal Hospital and Qatar Charitable Center in Bahri locality is high, and there are statistically significant differences in the level of psychological depression among patients with renal failure according to the gender variable (male, female) in favor of gender male)’there are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological depression among patients with renal failure according to the variable of age, and there are statistically significant differences in the level of psychological depression among patients with renal failure according to the marital status variable in favor of the marital status (single).

In light of the results of the research, the researchers presented a number of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which are: that the Ministry of Health and specialized hospitals provide programs and activities in psychological counseling for patients with renal failure to alleviate stress, anxiety and psychological depression
