Abstract EN

This research aims to know self-esteem and its relationship to mental health among delinquent juveniles in juvenile care institutions in Khartoum state.

The researcher followed the descriptive correlational approach, and the sample reached (105).

She also used Cooper Smith's self-esteem measures and the mental health scale (developed by the researcher).

To process the data, the researcher used the statistical package program For social sciences (SPSS), one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), one-sample T-test, and Pearson's correlation, the researcher reached the most important results.

The mental health of offenders in juvenile care institutions in Khartoum state is characterized by low, self-esteem of delinquents in juvenile care institutions in Khartoum state is characterized by high, and there is a positive correlation with statistical significance between self-esteem and mental health among delinquents in juvenile care institutions in Khartoum state, and accordingly the researcher presented a number of Recommendations: the most important of which is reforming the home environment and providing activities and programs that facilitate positively in improving mental health, self-esteem and modifying the behavior of the delinquent.
