Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the psychological and educational needs of the mentally disabled children with light and medium mindedness according to the standpoint of the educator’s crew.

The descriptive and analytical approach has been adopted in order to achieve the study’s targets.

Interviews have been conducted too as tool the collect data.

With a sample of 8 educators on two establishments, specialized in psychological an educational car.

Data have been processed by the content analysis technique.

The study yielded results according to which the psychological and educational needs of mentally disabled children are; the need for love, for security, for stability, the need for appreciation, the need for self - awareness, for training in mental activities, for training on manual activities.
