The research deals with the most important confiscations during the era of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Mutawakkil Ali Allah (232-247 AH/846-861 AD), which included some senior statesmen during his reign; From ministers, writers, leaders, judges, and doctors, by defining confiscation linguistically and idiomatically, and a brief about the Caliph al-Mutawakkil, and the main motives for the confiscations during his reign, and they were divided according to their causes, such as the hostility of some of them to al-Mutawakkil before his caliphate, or for political, or economic reasons, as well as for ideological reasons or Ethical, and also for some of them to seize state funds illegally.
