Abstract EN

This study arises from the question about the poetic writing consciousness of the poet (Nizar Qabbani) in his book (drawing with Words), and it tried to answer a specific question, which is: What are the features of poetic consciousness in this book, which represents a prominent sign in the poet's creativity? Hence, the study examines the texts of the Diwan, in which the poet talked about the experience of writing and about the essence of poetic creativity with its surroundings.

The research, despite the large number of books written about Nizar and his literature in poetry and prose, is considered novel and has not been studied before in this book, nor in any of Nizar Qabbani's collections.

The research was divided into a preface and seven chapters.

The preface answers two questions, the first is: Why was the selection of Diwan (drawing with Words) among the poet's many collections? The second question is: What is meant by poetic consciousness? Regarding chapters, they came dependent on the inductive and analytical reading of the texts of the Diwan, and they are:
