The problem lies in that the local production of wheat is unable to meet the needs of the actual increasing demand for it, especially in light of the high population increase with growth rates greater than the growth rates in wheat production, the main objective of the research is to assess the state of Egyptian food security for this first strategic crop, in addition to improving nutrition and achieving sustainable development, the most important findings of the research are that the total quantity of deficit (k7) of wheat during the study period amounted to about 18.962 million tons, and the period of sufficiency of deficit in local consumption (k8) is sufficient for about 85.79 days, the amount of surplus in domestic consumption (k9) for wheat crop reached about 43,980 thousand tons, and the surplus period in domestic consumption (k10) is sufficient for about 169.89 days, the total volume of the strategic stock of wheat crop (k11) amounted to about 319,068 thousand tons , which are sufficient for the period of sufficiency of the volume of the daily consumer stock (k12) about 39.04 days, the increase in the amount of the strategic stock is a significant increase by 65,512 thousand tons, which is equivalent to a statistically significant annual growth of about 24.85% of the annual average of the quantity of the strategic stock, the value of the food security coefficient (k14) ranges between zero and one, as the closer it is to zero, the lower the food security coefficient for wheat crop and vice versa, it is clear from the research that the food security coefficient ranged from a minimum of zero in 2010 to a maximum of about 0.08 in 2019.
