Plastic art has a distinguished place in the history of humanity, as it is a kind of honest translation of the artist's feelings, aspirations, ideas, aesthetic and utilitarian orientations, and it is one of the most important ways to record and document human civilization, and art is a milestone in the progress of nations, as it records the history of nations in all fields.

Since this era is considered an era of progress, science and technology, it captured the imagination of plastic artists, so the plastic artist was always keen to achieve a radical renewal, which made art proceed within the scope of intellectual, cultural and social progress and development that prevails in society.

In view of what the country is going through from the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, which resulted in a large and clear recession in investments, stopping aviation and closing countries on themselves, this required attention to the internal aspect and activation of internal investments through awareness of the importance of domestic tourism, especially archaeological areas, and re-seeing the homeland’s properties and legacies, especially for the region.

Mada'in Saleh to be a building block for foreign investment after the return of the movement and global life.

And as a starting point for studying the compositional formulas of the artwork and changing the concept of using raw materials in artistic works.

As the nucleus of art in this century, the concept of plastic thought should be presented in a different way that corresponds to the development strategies in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

In light of the above, the current research is examined for several axes centered around: The first axis: a contemporary vision of the artworks and their transformations to express the materials in order to achieve the concept of sustainability.

The second axis: Promoting the values of belonging and citizenship to preserve the nation’s property and make it a shining facade that encourages tourism (internal or external).

The third axis: stimulating domestic tourism to achieve economic growth within the Kingdom in light of the global recession.

The fourth axis: a study of the Mada'in Saleh area in light of the Kingdom's 2030 vision.
