Can we talk about possible interactions between sexed social subjects and meanings that poets and poetesses convey in their poems? We chose to study these interactions in the theme of pride expressed by poetesses of both pagan and Islamic periods.

So, we searched for women’s share in the linguistic root related to pride.

Then, we dissected prototypes of the knight in a female version.

After that, we read up the texts about pride to make alienation show up in the form of family ties, heroicism and norms, without silencing the intimacy that is proud of the female body and rebels against male authority.

It seems that the interactions between the pride poetry and its creator is feminity embedded in the body of the text as a witness of the poet’s presence.

As a matter of fact, feminity and masculinity form a sexual mark that defines the social status from which poets and poetesses have been pronounced.
