أفضى تفاقم المشاكل البيئية إلى صحوة إنسانية تجلت في اهتمام واسع بقضايا البيئة، من خلال عدد من الندوات و المؤتمرات التي أكدت على ضرورة تعميم و تعزيز التربية البيئية كإحدى أهم الآليات المساهمة في تحقيق الاستدامة البيئية و التنموية.
الأمر الذي دفع الجزائر إلى إدماج متغير التربية البيئية ضمن "خطة العمل الوطنية من أجل البيئة و التنمية المستدامة"، إضافة إلى تخصيص عدد من المقررات الدراسية المعنية بنشر و تعميم التربية البيئية في مختلف الأطوار التعليمية بدأ من الطور الابتدائي حتى الطور الجامعي بغية تكوين أجيال تتسم بقدر عال من الوعي الإيكولوجي
Abstract EN
The exacerbation of environmental problems led to a human awakening that was reflected in a wide concern for environmental issues, through numerous conferences that emphasized the enhancing of environmental education as an important mechanisms contributing to achieving environmental sustainability.
This prompted Algeria to incorporate the environmental education within the “National Action Plan for the Environment and Sustainable development”, and allocating many academic courses with the dissemination of environmental education in various educational stages in order to form high-qualified ecological generations.

L'exacerbation des problèmes environnementaux a conduit à l’éveil de la conscience humaine qui s'est traduit par une large préoccupation pour les questions environnementales, à travers des conférences qui ont souligné la nécessité de renforcer l’intérêt porté à l'éducation environnementale comme un mécanisme contribuant à la réalisation de la durabilité dans ce domaine.
Cela a incité l'Algérie à intégrer l’éducation à l'environnement dans le « plan d'action national pour l'environnement et le développement durable», et de consacrer un certain nombre de cours à la diffusion de la culture de l'éducation environnementale à différents niveaux d'enseignement.
