Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the reality of participatory leadership among school principals in The Department of Education in Al Bukayriyah Governorate from the teachers’ point of view, and to reveal the presence of statistically significant differences about the reality of participatory leadership of principals due to the variables (gender, school stage, years of experience), and providing suggestions for improving the practice of participatory leadership, and the research used the descriptive survey method, and the (Wood, 2005) scale was used for participatory leadership as a tool for research, and the sample was chosen in a simple random way consisted of (327) teachers, and the results showed that the reality of participatory leadership among school principals in The Department of Education in Al Bukayriyah Governorate from the teachers’ point of view is achieved to a medium degree, and there are no statistically significant differences about the reality of participatory leadership due to the variable of years of experience, while there are differences due to the variables of gender and school stage.

Furthermore, the most important suggestions for improving the participatory leadership practices of school principals: Building positive relationships between the principal and teachers based on mutual respect, and encouraging teachers by the school principal to work in a team spirit.
