Abstract EN

This study, in general, aims to identify the reality of the application of knowledge management processes at the college of education at the university of Hail, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive survey method.

the questionnaire was also used as a tool to collect study data from the study population who represented by all members of the teaching staff at the college of education, university of Hail, whose number is (150) faculty members and (134) of them are responded, which represents (89.3%) of the total study population.

the study made number of findings, most important : the application of knowledge management processes evidence in the college of education at the university of Hail from the point of view of the faculty members was very high, and this is represented in the strong agreeing of the study members on each of the following : the university has systems and information bases that help in obtaining the required knowledge quickly, also, the university has a special budget to support knowledge management and research projects.

the study also found that there are many obstacles facing the application of knowledge management processes at the university of Hail from the point of view of the faculty members in the college of education, most notably : the inability to allocate sufficient time in the members’ working hours schedule knowledge sharing, as well as the university’s lack of clear strategies and mechanisms for knowledge management, the findings also showed that there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the average responses of the study sample members about the reality of the application of knowledge management processes and their obstacles in the college of education at the university of Hail according to the variable of scientific position and this is in favor of the study members who have the scientific position of assistant professor, and there are differences according to the variable years of experience in favor of those with experience (10) years or less.
