Abstract EN

In spite of the efforts undertaken by the Algerian government in terms of reforms to develop higher education, it remains insufficient compared to the requirements of this time and the global development of education.

the transition to e-education at the Algerian university has become an important requirement for solving many problems facing higher education.

but this transition demands a set of requirements varied between materials and skills.

since the teacher is an essential pole in the educational process, he is required to acquire a set of basic competencies to contribute to the success of e-teaching.

in this article, we tried to determinate a set of teaching competencies (technological, design, communication and administrative competencies) that the Algerian teacher should acquire in order to achieve the goals of e-education, in an attempt to improve university outcomes and improve the level of the Algerian university globally.
