Abstract EN

The research aims to study two important mental processes in the development of thought in the child, which is to study the role of the static mental image in schoolchildren of six years and its relationship to the development of the topological space in the Algerian child, relying on Piaget's studies in understanding infantile thinking and how it develops during the different age stages and to achieve the objectives of the study the descriptive approach was used, and to calculate the results, we used correlational designs on ten students from the first year of primary school.

the research methods were represented in the researcher Piaget's tests, which are the topological places test and the static mental image test.

it coincides with the growth of the static mental image of the Algerian child according to the stages of development according to Piaget.
