This article talks about the reference, which is one of the relationships of referral in the linguistics of the text and discourse analysis, and focuses on the referral by pronouns and the most important synthetic and semantic functions that it performs, and how to interpret it and its rhetorical and aesthetic purposes that it achieves in the text and discourse their textuality.

thus, it proves that linking by pronouns requires knowing their purposes and situation in order to reach that aesthetic.

we can benefit from this in the fields of teaching the Arabic language and translation, and establishing an exchangeable dialogue between modern studies and ancient Arabic studies.
