The place is one of the most important elements within which the events of the novel are formed, and because of its close connection with the actions of the characters and the rest of the narrative elements, it also contributes to drawing the dimensions of the characters and their behavior in the artwork, it shows the extent of their connection to the place, as the extent of the impact it imposes on the actions of the characters, and the manifestations.

The multiple places give the reader more insight and more interaction with the narrative event.

I chose the novel "The City Carnival" by the Jerusalem writer; Due to the emergence of Jerusalem, and its implications and symbols, the city is an open space for many human knowledge, due to its expanding framework that includes both the creator, the producer and the recipient.

The novel discussed three places; camp, crossing, and the city, these places are different in name, the reader may think that they are different to the point of difference, but in fact they are not separated geographically, spatially or temporally; They are interconnected as a comprehensive framework for the events of the novel.

There is a peculiarity that unites the different and composes them.

The city, in its geographical and spatial limits, includes these places with multiple names, and this reality, imposed by the occupation to besiege the city and the entire people.
