Abstract EN

This research was keen to extrapolate the foundations of the theory of functional grammar according to Ahmed Al-Mutawakil's vision, and to explain the mechanisms of analyzing synthetic forms in the interrogative sentences contained in Surat Al-Kahf in the light of (the descriptive device), and to distribute the patterns of sentences functionally according to the predicate structures, the type of predicate in them, and the allocations distributed to them.

The researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach in detailing and describing the elements of these functions, and applying it to the structures of the interrogative method mentioned in the Noble Surah.

The research reached a number of results, the most important of which were: that functionalism contributed to linking the linguistic structure with its communicative function, and that interrogative structures were distinguished by the elements included in them, as they had the performing force in performing the function.

The interrogative tool contributed to the realization of the provisions that link the bonds of compounds and elements in the sentence.

As for the linking sentences in which the noble verses came, they indicate that the linking is my position, depending on the nature of the leading element in the structures.
