Abstract EN

This research deals with the study of the presence of the “shirt” in the poetry of Amjad Nasser who we see changing perspectives stuck in our collective memory.

he possesses an artistic vision capable of interrogating and conversing the heritage to serve the present, while he is haunted by exposing the reality in which he lives, adding more roles for historical characters and situations in order to support them with affective abilities.

the aspects of the “Shirt” appear more and more in his poetry until identified in three tracks: aesthetic stimulus, symbolism that refers to chastity or poverty, and the renewal track that generates meaning, all of which enrich the text and create new dimensions.

accordingly, the present research aims at investigating amjad nasser’s world of “modernism” and interrogating the “Shirt” as one of its distinguished features in order to reveal suffer and hope therein, which are formed by means of renewing the poet’s expressive tools.
