Covid-19 pandemic many of educational systems have been prompted to seek for creative solutions to avoid the disruptions of education system.

Therefore, the resources of online learning became one of those solutions which has a significant role in achieving the transformation from traditional education in classrooms to open learning through the smart educational settings.

Despite many advantages of e-learning platforms such as availability, flexibility, accessibility to educational content, breaking the border barrier, and saving time, there are many challenges including how to provide constructive feedback to students while they learn through these platforms? and how can the students independently organize their learning without a direct supervision of teachers? Learning Analytics has importantly helped in enhancing the e-learning experience due to its ability to measure and analyze the behavior and data of learners in their educational contexts to understand the learning process and the environments in which learning takes place.

The aim of the current study is to measure the interaction between the types of feedback namely corrective, and explanatory according to students' behavior analyzing in an e-learning environment, and the timing of providing feedback (at the beginning of learning tasks & the end of learning tasks) based on learning time, and the required tasks.

The study sample consisted of (600) students from the first-year students of Faculty of Nursing at Fayoum University, during their studying of “computer course” in the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021.

The results showed that providing the explanatory feedback at the beginning of learning significantly helped in developing the problem-solving skills.

The results also indicated that providing corrective feedback at the end of the learning helped the students in their self-regulation learning.

The study recommends the importance of linking data patterns and learners' behavior to enhance e-learning, as determining the degree, timing, and type of providing the feedback contribute significantly to developing the students' problem-solving skills and their self-regulation of learning.
