Abstract EN

The current research aimed to determine the effect of the interaction between two styles of static infographic presentation (contiguity/ replacement) and two levels of intensity of its digital stimuli (low intensity / high intensity) in the augmented reality environment on developing a deep understanding and mindfulness among students of the preparatory year at the University of Jeddah.

To achieve this goal, the experimental method and the quasi-experimental design of the pattern (2 x 2) were relied on.

A sample of (60) students from the preparatory year at the University of Jeddah was randomly selected and assigned to four equal experimental groups during the second semester of 2019/2020.

The research tools were a deep understanding test, and a mindfulness scale.

For statistical treatments, a “one-way Analysis of Variance” was used to calculate equivalence between groups in pretest measurements, “two-way Analysis of Variance” for identifying the significance of the differences between groups in posttest measurement, “Scheffe' Test” for determining the direction of differences between groups, and “Eta square” for measuring the effect size.
