Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the extent of the use of participatory video in the professional development of English female teachers in Riyadh, to identify barriers and suggestion of participatory video using in the professional development of English female teachers in Riyadh, and to detect the statistically significant differences according to personal and occupational data of the teachers.

To achieve these objectives, the researcher used the descriptive survey approach, and she used the questionnaire.

The study community consisted of female English teachers in Riyadh.

The study sample was represented in a simple random sample of the female English teacher, of (32) female teachers.

The study concluded the following results: Results revealed that female English teachers use participatory video with a very high degree in professional development.

Results also showed that female English teachers in Riyadh agree with a high degree regarding barriers of using participatory video in the professional development of English female teachers in Riyadh.

Results revealed that the most significant suggestions, for activating the use of participatory video in the professional development of English female teachers in Riyadh, are (to increase providing training courses on the use of participatory video in the professional development of English female teachers in Riyadh, to provide schools with computer and smart devices, and to design a common website for experiences sharing at Riyadh level).

Results showed that there are no statically significant differences at significance value 0.05 and lower in study sample responses, on the use of participatory video in the professional development of English female teachers in Riyadh, according to personal and occupational data of the study sample individuals (e.
