Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the reality of the old schools in Morocco, and ways to develop and activate these schools, the study also aimed at identifying the obstacles that prevent the hoped-for development of this old school, in order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used questionnaire to collect data from the study society of the 1320 old school teachers through a representative sample of (181) teachers, which constitutes about 15%, and the most prominent results, that the old schools play an active role in preserving the identity of Islamic education through the memorization of the book of God and the teaching of students worship in Islam, and its role in the rehabilitation of Imams and preachers, and that the most prominent ways to activate old schools are recognition of the certificate and qualification of graduates of old schools, and the holding of training courses (scientific, educational) for teachers, and the creation of sections and paths in the university accommodate graduates of old schools, and to create jobs suitable for graduates, and that the most prominent obstacles to development and activation are: the absence of a union or association of employees of old schools, the societal inferiority of the students of these schools, and the founder and presenter of the old school buildings.
