Abstract EN

The ancient civilization of Iraq was celebrated with many of the products written in cuneiform script, such as legends, epics, etc,.which dealt with the various aspects of intellectual and social life .One of the most prominent and important topics addressed to them was the subject of creation in general and the creation of the universe(heaven and earth (in particular).

The importance of this study is to consolidate the idea of monotheism in the old Iraqi thought by addressing the myth of the creation of heaven as mentioned in the Sumerian and Akkadian heritage ,and comparing it with what is mentioned in the Bible(the Torah and the Bible)and in the Holy Quran.

Using the descriptive approach and the comparative approach as a means to achieve that end.

The study concluded that there is a common human heritage and instinct, which derived from these myths and religions, the existence of one Creator of the universe.

It is not possible to assert that the future of this intellectual legacy has been removed from the previous one, despite the arrival of ideas similar to each other and identical in other times, but that the origin of this legacy can not be but a product of the prophecies that we did not flag, and sent The one God (God) for the purpose of guiding all human beings to worship and establish his laws
