Abstract EN

The purpose of this paper is to survey and examine the hadiths documented in Ilal al-Darqutni narrated by Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir , a trustworthy reference Hadith narrator, and denied by al-Darqutni on defective grounds.

The study also aims to document and reference such Hadiths as reported by al-Darqutni, and tracing back other narrators backgrounds and positions and the aspects of disagreement based on narrator's rank, leading Hadith scholars' opinions, likelihood evidence and Hadith weighting likelihood ruling.

The study revealed that Hadith denial originated from Ibn al-Munkadir companions rather than Ibn al-Munkadir himself.

It was also concluded that al-Daraqutni was preponderant in one Hadith's aspects he mentioned, and remained silent about one, and was disillusioned in another Hadith.

The study also revealed that the most important presumptions of weighting Likelihood upon disagreement were the most frequently-memorized, the more in number and the jurisdiction.
