Abstract EN

The current study explores the problem of industrial waste (garbage) accumulation, in Zinjobar – Yemen.

The study is organized into an introduction, five sections and a conclusion.

The first section deals with the general concepts and terminology of the study.

The second section outlines the geographical facts.

The third section discusses the quantitative and qualitative development of industrial waste production during the study period.

The fourth section reviews the methods and means of dealing with industrial waste accumulation.

The fifth section presents the empirical data analysis of field study of a sample of the city's drinking water well.

The conclusion lists some important findings.

The study revealed that the accumulation of solid industrial waste distorted and deformed the urban landscape of Zinjobar city.

The statistical study also showed an increasingly dynamic population expansion coupled with a parallel increase industrial solid waste production, generating negative and adverse impact on both environment and community health.
