Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the reality of social policy in Algeria in terms of economic cost and social justice, by shedding light on the evolution of the allocations for social transfers during the period 2000-2020, where the study relied on the descriptive analytical approach of statistical data, and by examining the positive and negative effects of the policy social and economic and social burden.

the study concluded that social transfers are known to have increased negative effects without achieving social justice as a result of all segments of society (poor and rich) benefiting from this support, which Algeria attaches importance to through the amounts allocated within the state's general budget, which burdens it and leads to an increase in its deficit.
