مرت المعرفة الإنسانية بحالة مرضية تمثلت في منظومة التبسيط و الاختزال التي سيطرت على الفكر العلمي بعد الثورة العلمية في القرن السادس عشر، و التي اختزلت كل الواقع إلى أصغر المكونات الجزئية، و قانت بفصل حقول المعرفة بعضها عن بعض.

وقد حاول إدغار موران إصلاح المعرفة عن طريق الدعوة إلى فكر مركب باعتباره مفتاحا للمعرفة العلمية المعاصرة، و يمثل تحديا و دافعا للعقل للتعامل مع الشكوك و التناقضات و اللايقين
Abstract EN
Human knowledge has gone through a satisfactory state of simplification and reduction that dominated scientific thought after the scientific revolution of the 16th century, which reduced all reality to the smallest partial components, and separated the fields of knowledge from each other.
Edgar Moran has tried to reform knowledge by advocating complex thought as a key to contemporary scientific knowledge, challenging and motivating the mind to deal with uncertainties, contradictions and uncertainties.

La connaissance humaine est passée par un état satisfaisant de simplification et de réduction qui a dominé la pensée scientifique après la révolution scientifique du 16ème siècle, qui a réduit toute la réalité aux plus petites composantes partielles et séparé les domaines de la connaissance les uns des autres.
Edgar Moran a tenté de réformer la connaissance en préconisant la pensée complexe comme clé de la connaissance scientifique contemporaine, défiant et motivant l'esprit à faire face aux incertitudes et aux contradictions
