The environment and society today are one of the leading topics that gained the attention of various public institutions and international bodies, the humanities and social sciences, as they have a clear and direct impact on human life.

environment as a reality is vital for all disciplines which are concerned with the particular layer of reality.

but what constitutes immediate environment for each layer of reality studied by particular science differs.

this paper is divided in to two sections : this in the first part of the article we have presented definition of the environment and society.

the second parts of article presents the relationship between the environment and society through different theoretical schools that dealt with the concept of the environment and its relation to the individual and society.
