This study aims to shed light on the strategies of green economy and sustainable development, and show the relationship, by presenting a case study of Masdar city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi in the field of investment in the field of green energies as an entry point for achieving sustainable development.

through this study, we have reached a set of results that indicate the transition or transition to a green economy is not a superior decision, but rather a long and arduous process and an intense effort for all parties from the top to the bottom.

in terms of the case study, the researcher found that the Masdar city project enabled the achievement of sustainability goals in the field of energies and the testing, marketing and dissemination of clean, low-carbon energy technologies.

Masdar city also constitutes a "green footprint'' for sustainable urban development, providing realistic solutions in the field of water, energy efficiency and waste reduction.
