The new studies dealt with importance of the strategies of metacognition in the improvement of the learning process and the progress of academic achievement.

the new education approaches insists on the importance of teaching and the strategies of thinking metacognition for learners as a direct objective since it is very efficient in the success of both the learning process and the progress of learners.

however, there are many obstacles which threaten the success of teaching thinking strategies of metacognition and we have to reduce and get rid of these obstacles to realize it.
