Abstract EN

This study aims to reveal the extent to which there is a relationship between psychological wellbeing and professional satisfaction among university professors.

furthermore, it attempts to detect the differences that appear in psychological wellbeing and occupational satisfaction according to the gender variable.

the study sample comprised 90 professors, both males and females, from the university of Algiers 2 and the higher normal school of Kouba.

the researcher opted for RYFF'S psychological wellbeing scale and Kartell Hullio et Smith's occupational satisfaction scale as the main frameworks of the present research.

the findings revealed a statistically significant correlation between psychological wellbeing and professional satisfaction.

moreover, a statistically significant difference in terms of the degrees of occupational satisfaction in favor of male professors was recorded.

however, there was no statistically significant difference between males and females in terms of the arithmetic averages of psychological wellbeing degrees.
