The issue of imagination brought about a hot debate in the critical and rhetorical legacy since the past because it is a crucial element in the creative works in general, and the poetic in particular.

the poetic speech is allusive and imagining that is based on artistic depiction to attract the self and trigger its feelings and emotions.

imagination gives the artist ideas of poetic creation, innovation, and invention that stem from the good imagination and the self-vision.

the power of imagination in the journeys literature, mainly poetic journeys, manifests in the integration of reality with imagination according to the faculty of the artist and his good plot, depiction, coherence and cohesion, and creativity.

this manifests in the famous poem of the journey of Ibn al Fakoun to Marrakech because it represents an honest depiction through rational content and allusion through the imagination.

thus, this paper aims at shedding light on the issue of imagination due to its importance in the critical and rhetorical lesson, and multiple convincing and semantic functions that affect the self.
