In this article, we address the role of natural language processing software in building modern electronic lexicons and bring the linguistic content of lexicons closer to different types of users, given the sensitive position these software occupies in building the lexicon, where it interacts at the level of the electronic lexicon before, during, and after the process of requesting information a number of operations within the so-called natural language processing carried out by a number of sub-programs of the lexicon, which help the user in determining the entrance in an accurate way to make the query process successful and access to the information in the lexicon database and informing the user of what he is looking for and what he needs, while providing various options for controlling and displaying linguistic content.
