The analysis of international phenomena depends on variables that the researcher seeks to find the causal relationships that link them, by measuring the nature and level of change that occurs in the dependent variable when there is a change in the independent variable.

From here, international relations researchers used to select their analytical variables from one of the three levels of analysis, and that the level of analysis means dividing the causes of international conflicts and returning them to a specific cause or level under which they are understood.

It is an attempt to divide the causes of conflict into a group of elements.

It is used by the student to provide evidence.

This concept has developed in the light of the traditional debate represented in the competition between the two basic approaches, a partial or narrow approach and a holistic approach based on general studies, to emphasize the need to find other levels that allow the researcher to arrange the logical order of his study based on more scientific foundations, and thus the possibility of reaching results for them.
