The popular biography represents a spacious and welcoming creative world, due to its technical, formal and content specifics and advantages, which facilitated the polarization of many artistic and literary forms in a smooth and flexible movement of harmony and interaction, the differences and advantages of which can only be understood through a careful critical look.

the texts of the popular biography, unlike other ancient Arabic narrative texts, did not receive much attention in modern Arabic criticism, despite being the most fertile of its texts.

it did not pay attention to matters related to the official literary institution, which tried hard to stifle every literary attempt that did not fit its whims.

which leads to the question of the reason for the lack of interest of the modern Arab critic to read biographies, especially in light of the multiplicity of critical approaches approaching the narrative text, is it caused by the length, tautology and redundancy that distinguishes it, or by its overlap with history ?
