Nowadays, globalization seems to invade all domains of life namely: economics, trade, culture and language.

therfore, hegemony has reached its climax and imposed the to be or not to be reality.

to live in the globalized era means to adopt means to reach existence imposed on the individual and the group with the mastering of global language that is English.

this reality generates both fear and anxiety which lead to confrontation and resistance by using possible and appropriate means.

this paper aims at sheding light upon the position of translation and its industry, as a means of resistence against global hegemony especially the linguistic one represented in English, in this epoch.

translation industry becomes a means to protect national language and strengthen its communicative role in teaching, investment and transmitting knowledge.

hence, translation in the globalized era plays a dual role in achieving communication and limiting hegemony.
