SMES are among the solutions offered to achieve sustainable development ; provided that the necessary funding is available in quantitative and qualitative terms.

the Wakf is an appropriate method, through various and contemporary techniques, the most important of which are the Wakf funds.

from this perspective, the study focused on addressing the role of SMES in achieving sustainable development and was found to contribute to orbing unemployment, preserving local culture and alleviating poverty and pollution by relying on simple and environmentally friendly technology.

the study also identified the financing methods and modalities that Waqf funds could provide to these institutions.

finally, a model was proposed for an Algerian Waqf fund that supports small and medium-sized enterprises and provides them with the funding necessary to advance their role as an alternative to depleted wealth and achieve sustainable and balanced development.
