Countries resort to developing their economy and developing their facilities and infrastructure through foreign investment, and since the foreign investor needs guarantees to facilitate his work and preserve his rights in the face of countries that can nationalize his investment or amend their legislation, which may weaken his legal position, the countries have sought to find a solution that enables them to attract investments through an alternative means to resolve disputes that may arise in connection with those investments, and represents the solution in arbitration, that is, not referring disputes that may arise in connection with his investment in this country to its national judiciary, as it is in the investor's view a non-neutral judiciary.
